VOICING WORKSHOP
No. 24

 
 

The 24th Voicing Workshop was conducted on time last Sunday. This time we had 3 participants. Deepthi Banerjee an ex air hostess from Delhi, Rahul Kumar from Npoida working for an NGO and Inderdeep Singh from TCS. Inderdeep Singh was an experienced BPO person and had a good US accent. He wanted to try something more but his most English reflected the US accent may be due to his vast experience in this stream and eventually he fell into the same bracket where his US accent could be professionally done. He had a natural heavy texture with a grainy voice. We learned the skills to play with grains and make a sand paper voice quality. Deepthi had a very heavy base voice, which had lot of clarity and portrayed authority, command, matureness.  We tried giving her documentary script which she rendered perfectly. Similarly she had a wide bracket to do many kind of scripts. Her additional talent of Bengali and Hindi was also good. Rahul also was fluent in Hindi and Neutral English and had a voice texture between mid to heavy. Fluent in both the languages he also lacked some flow, pauses which he quickly corrected upon.  It was a great fun. The Demos were perfectly recorded. A special session was conducted on marketing voice, how to practice at home, how to promote yourself. In the End everybody took at least 8 references for getting paid voicing assignments and not to mention the list of sound studios of delhi. Below are some of the pics for this workshop.
