VOICING WORKSHOP
No. 28 |

The 28th Voicing Workshop was conducted on
time. This time we had a very experienced
person, an announcer in All India Radio with over
20 years of experience and presenting prime time
Programmes like Sangam, ets on Vividh Bharti,
Sukhnandan Bindra was eager to attend this voice
workshop. We also had Neeraj Singh, a good mimicry
artist, who wanted to make a career in this field.
His dedication made him come very first at the
studio all the way from Rajasthan. Then we had our
last guest named Kapil Khanna, an exporter who had
a great passion for voicing. He had a good
authoritative, commanding base voice which was really
commendable. He learned the skills for pitching,
modulation and throw. Kapil had a very good
english accent too. Perfect for narrative
purposes. Neeraj singh had a great voice quality and
texture, more important our sound engineer Bhavesh
commenced the warmth in his voice which could come
wonders after remixing. Neeraj Singh also
learned the skills in use of language, diction and
more important the delivery of it. Sukhnandan as
said was an experienced versatile artiste of Hindi
and Punjabi language only. The sweetness in her
voice quality, the sharpness, the attraction was
beyond words. She was the fastest to record her
demo. This
workshop took more than usual time as these people recorded
their demos with many scripts. All were immensely
talented, great learners and myself, Dheeraj Dua and Bhavesh
enjoyed training them with full motivation. All of
them were given 17 voicing leads this time, the
maximum so far with lots of notes & sample scripts
for home study.
