VOICING WORKSHOP
No. 49

 
 

The 49th Voicing Workshop was conducted on request. This time we had 5 Guests. Mahesh Seelvi, a Punjabi and Hindi writer of 6 books and a newsreader from AIR came to enhance his voicing skills all the way from Patiala, Punjab. Two students doing Mass Communication course from another institute came for practical training and making of their demos. They were Seyieviko Peseyie (Viko) who was from Nagaland and Sweta Subba from Gangtok. Beside that we had Arvind Sharma from Delhi who is working in a leadinbg Telecom Company and Naveen Arya working as a professional in Delhi. Arvind had a true authoritative deep basy voice which was perfect for hard hitting narrations. Sweta has a very attractive sharp female voice with a good English accent well suited for narrations. She was also fluent in Nepali. Viko had a good command over English and had a high pitch voice with base but needed to learn the skills of giving variation in modulation. Naveen had a mid base voice well suited for character based narrations, commercials and story books. Mahesh, inspite of being a Punjabi newsreader learn lot of skill sin modulation and delivery. Similarly Arvind too was very good n Punjabi language and recorded perfect demos. Session of Voice Improvement & Techniques and the Script analysation session took much time and was great enriching for all of us. Lot of other technical things, sound recording terminology were also discussed in this workshop ( and a great lunch too) with a professional approach. Below are some of the pics for this workshop.
